At the heart of this advanced design are the new Ratchet EXP 240 hubs - the lightest, most reliable, and simplest versions of the 240 hubs. These new hubs mean fewer moving parts and a wider bearing spacing, which not only improves overall stiffness, but also prolongs bearing life and reduces drag. Plus, the hubs retain DT Swiss' hallmark tool-free servicing and on-trail repair capabilities.
Further weight-saving measures include new Swiss-made Comp Race spokes, which have been butted down to 1.6 mm to provide a lighter, more forgiving ride. This ingenious design not only offsets the added stiffness of the move to a carbon rim, but also offers additional damping and overall enhanced ride quality. This is just one of the benefits of creating the entire wheel system in-house.
When bought as a pair, the wheels come with both Shimano MICRO SPLINE and SRAM XD freehubs, 6-bolt adaptors, tubeless tape, and premium lightweight tubeless valves.
